Job summary The post holder will support the Quality Improvement Skills Training (QIST) section in the planning and delivery of quality improvement activity for all trainees and trainers across Wales. QIST is part of the Quality Unit which works to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and patient safety through the monitoring and development of medical education and training and provision of Faculty infrastructure to support it.Activity is undertaken in close collaboration with training programmes and Local Education Providers (LEPs) across NHS Wales to ensure high quality educational environments for trainees. The post holder will lead on activities relating to the organisation and delivery of quality improvement skills training, Fundamentals of Improvement workshops and Improvement in Practice workshops, for a range of healthcare professionals across Wales. The post holder will develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders and provide comprehensive administrative support and advice to the QIST team The post holder will be expected to work unsupervised to deadlines working to agreed national and local policies and processes. Main duties of the job Provide comprehensive and reliable administrative and business support to the Quality Improvement and Innovation Manager and wider QIST team. Responsible for timely and effective use of NHS Wales and HEIW administrative and financial systems to ensure successful running of courses, including liaison with training venues, attendees and QIST tutors.
