We are excited to create a new band 6 role to join our Heart failure specialist nurse to support and grow the service. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated and committed to cardiology.
We require a nurse with a cardiology background who can demonstrate experience in different settings. The successful candidate would be expected to provide expert support, advice and education to patients and their families. This would cover both inpatient and outpatient cardiac rehabilitation services and you would need to be able to undertake this in a group and individual setting. You would also be an expert resource to other health professionals across the multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, which are vital to the role and you would need to be able to demonstrate these at interview. We work as part of a multidisciplinary team and have good liaison both locally and regionally. We would also expect you to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the service and fellow team members.
This role will be hospital based and provide both inpatient and outpatient care. The inpatient care would involve assessing acute admissions, providing clarity of diagnosis and supporting patients with heart Failure We work closely with other departments within the Trust and the cardiology team.
