Job Purpose
Supports our operational teams with the repair of their assets, including pumps, motors, and gearboxes. To provide an outstanding asset refurbishment service to the business to support regulatory, health and safety, financial, and operational performance targets by delivering high-class workmanship utilising precision engineering techniques to prolong Mean Time Between Failure.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* Dismantling of pumps, motors, gearboxes and other rotating equipment.
* Full electrical testing of windings to assess condition including Baker Test, core loss test etc.
* Fault find and rectify worn or damaged components.
* Investigation and analysis to establish the root cause of faults / failures of assets.
* Collect reliable, accurate and complete asset register data for all assets that pass through the workshop. Update CMMS as required.
* Replacing bearings, shafts, seals etc. to correct tolerances.
* Detailing windings, strip out and rewind to correct specifications.
* Assembly and testing of assets using precision engineering techniques to ensure high quality standards are maintained.
* Painting and preparing for delivery.
* Update Workshop reports as required.
* Ensure critical spares are identified, maintained and reviewed at regular intervals.
* Work with Maintenance Optimisation team to review the Preventative Maintenance tasks in Work bank for rotating assets based on the Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) principles on an on-going basis.
* Provide on the job training to the team when required.
