Job Title: Broadcast Replay Operations Lead

Overview:
As a Broadcast Replay Operations Lead, you will be working as part of a growing and dynamic team to deliver cutting-edge Remote Replay technology to some of the largest broadcasters.
The role will be supporting global operations with the majority of broadcast clients currently US-based but with more opportunities arising in the European market so occasional travel is expected to different events within both Europe and the US. Your main responsibilities will be to successfully manage the integration of our technology with our broadcast partners (hardware and software), in order to ensure the seamless delivery of our services and products at various events.
The role is primarily focused on new deliveries for European events and demos as the product grows in these markets. This includes working alongside our Basingstoke product team to ensure full testing of systems ahead of new features and integrations.
You are also expected to help support ongoing US broadcast operations with the broadcast replay department currently providing a mixture of Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to various broadcasters across Golf, NFL and other sports with several new opportunities on the horizon across the industry. You will need to be prepared to work long days at weekends and midweek evenings, as we work whenever sport happens.
Given the integrations with the broadcast staff, experience in the broadcast world would be very favourable but is not essential. If you have good general technical knowledge, then we can provide you with the training to make you a success in this role. We will equip you with the technical training, support and full exposure to our systems to perform your day-to-day tasks but also encourage development and progression to help make an impact on what we do.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accountable for the live operational quality of deliverables
* Help support the operations manager in planning support staffing requirements short and long-term
* Planning one-off events and demos
* Lead new project roll-outs in coordination with the various internal and external stakeholders
* Scheduling kit needs across a variety of projects and upcoming events
* Ensure systems are set up correctly, and internally are fully functional to ensure delivery
* Liaise with broadcast staff and replay operators throughout events to ensure clients are satisfied with the system
* Be involved with technical reviews from the events and supporting product testing from the Basingstoke office
* Help determine any solutions in coordination with the Product team and the Broadcast Manager
* First level of resolution for operational issues and challenges (before passing on to the Operations Manager/product team)
* Actioning and communication of any gaps in training, reporting processes, and operational processes that need improvement
* Lead training sessions with external staff using our system(s)
* For training needs, work with the Broadcast Manager and training coordinator to improve gaps in knowledge across the team
* Knowledge of budgetary decisions within the team, and conscious of monthly spending
* Other tasks assigned as business needs evolve and develop
Your Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
* A strong technical and broadcast grounding is preferred
* 2+ years of experience working in the sports technology and/or broadcast industry
* Ideally with a degree in a science, technology, mathematics or engineering course or relevant equivalent experience
* Experience in operational leadership and working on the live operational aspects of delivery is desirable
* Confident and approachable leadership style and the ability to lead and grow the team, setting standards and expectations along the way
* Ideally experience in Line Management
* Experience in the initial rollout of a project, or proof of concepts
* Organizational skills and methods to properly manage projects involving coordinating several services and resources
* Bright and enterprising with excellent analytical and problem-solving & troubleshooting skills
* Ability to establish, maintain and review processes to ensure efficient workflows
* Proactive attitude and ability to work on your own initiative
* Time management skills and ability to work in a high-pressure, live broadcast environment
* Ability to liaise with clients and customers in a professional and approachable manner
* Willingness to travel
* Flexible and adaptable to a schedule that is dedicated by sport and can change at short notice
* Acceptance that the nature of our business means that work will be carried out over weekends/ holidays
* An understanding that on-site or project work may require some physical tasks (moving hardware etc.) as well as spending time on your feet
