Do you enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team? If so, we have a great opportunity to progress your career within a team leading position in our Mainlaying department.
Our network teams provide a vital service, helping to ensure we supply water and provide sewerage services to our 2.8 million customers.
What you'll do
As one of our Mainlaying Team Leaders, you'll be responsible for being the first point of contact for our operatives who rely on you to provide support on complex work they come across in their day-to-day roles. Working in a two-person team within Utilities, you'll carry out the installation of new water mains on the water distribution network, making sure they meet quality and customer service standards.

Some of the tasks that you will be responsible for within this role will include meeting timescales and targets on road and field works to help deliver our programme of works.
A big part of your role involves having a solid understanding of health and safety. You will ensure yourself and your operatives/contractors are complying with health and safety best practices when performing their works. To help you monitor health and safety, you'll frequently use your laptop to update and comply with our safe systems of work.
This role is based in our Weymouth depot with travel across the Wessex Water region.
