Our client based in Bordon is looking to recruit a Production Manager with electronics experience, to oversee and optimize their electronics manufacturing operations, ensuring they align with the growth objectives and quality of the company.
This role combines technical expertise in manufacturing processes with leadership responsibilities, driving process optimization, team development, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have experience in production management, process modernization, and team leadership in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes and on-time delivery of high-quality products.
Factory Operational Efficiency: Develop and execute strategies to optimize factory operations, including streamlining workflows, reducing downtime, and enhancing resource utilization.
Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Process Improvement & Modernization: Assess and improve through-hole electronics manufacturing processes, including wave soldering, conformal coating, and testing.
Strategic Planning: Align production strategies with organizational goals, including cost reduction, quality improvement, and capacity expansion.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all production activities comply with industry regulations,quality standards, and company policies.
Metrics & Reporting: Monitor key production metrics such as yield, cycle time, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing leadership role, in electronics manufacturing.
Proven track record in managing and optimizing through-hole manufacturing processes, including wave soldering and conformal coating.
Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and scaling production for new products.
Strong understanding of manufacturing technologies, equipment, and testing processes for electronics.
Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
Strong communication abilities, including technical writing and presentation skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hours of Work: 38 hours per week, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm with half hour lunch break from Monday through Thursday 8.30 am to 12.30 pm Friday
