Essex Professional Coaching is seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as a Wraparound Settings Lead, whose superhero power will be to set up and manage a provision that is safe, fun, and inclusive for children.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Settings Lead on a part-time basis, working at one of our primary school settings in the Colchester area.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Wraparound Settings Lead will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing the planning, preparation, and delivery aspects of the setting, including serving breakfast and an afternoon snack.
2. Delivering inclusive, high-quality sessions and activities for the children.
3. Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures to ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of the children in your care at all times.
4. Facilitating effective communication with all members of the organisation, parents, schools, childcare and play-related agencies, and most importantly, the children.
5. Managing the team's individual responsibilities to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the setting.
6. Auditing and ordering food and resources as appropriate.
7. Maintaining records, ensuring all children are signed in and out of sessions using our systems.
8. Being a brand ambassador, demonstrating our company values at all times.
If you possess the following skills, we would love to hear from you about this role:
Essential:
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Enthusiastic, passionate, and caring personality.
* Ability to manage and support a group of people with varying needs and behaviours.
* Knowledge of Ofsted requirements, principles, and practices.
* Previous experience working in childcare, education, or nursery setting.
Desirable:
* Childcare or primary education qualification.
* Safeguarding certification.
* Level 2 food hygiene certification.
* Knowledge of FGM, prevent duty, county lines, and child sexual exploitation.
* Paediatric first aid certification.
Interview Stages:
1. Telephone Interview - To go through the role and get to know you in more detail.
2. Trial session - If successful in stage 1, you will then be invited to attend either a morning or afternoon slot at one of our current wraparound provisions to work alongside our team to support the day's activities.
3. Formal interview - If successful in stage 2, you will be invited to the business office for a formal interview.
Successful applicants will then be provided with a job offer via telephone, followed by email confirmation and a full induction.
This is a term-time only contract, with the option of additional work during school holidays.
Please note that access to your own transport is essential for this role unless you live within walking distance of: St Georges School, Colchester, CO2 7RU.
Working hours and days are flexible and can be built around the needs of the individual, with clubs taking place at the following times, Monday to Friday:
* Breakfast Club (7:30 am - 8:45 am)
* Afterschool Club (3 pm - 6 pm)
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 22.5 per week
