Purpose of the role
SMH Financial Services are now looking for a Financial Planning Analyst who will join our technical support team. The role will be to provide technical support to the Financial Advisers and wider support team to ensure the efficient delivery of all advice.
Reports to
Operations Manager/Lead Financial Planning Analyst
Responsibilities
New business:
1. Evaluation of client objectives
2. Due Diligence, research and analysis
3. Calculations (Pension contributions/CGT/IHT/Income Tax)
4. Production of client presentation documents and suitability reports
5. Oversight of provider illustrations / applications / fund information etc
6. Monitoring new business pipeline through to completion
7. Client fee monitoring
Client reviews:
1. Pre meeting analysis
2. Production of post review letters
Client administration:
1. IO and general record keeping (includes Fact find and risk profiler reports)
2. Maintaining and updating of client information (electronic)
3. Obtaining and evaluating information from providers
4. Liaising with clients and providers
General admin:
1. Deal with day-to-day correspondence from providers and clients
2. Work collaboratively with Managers and wider support team
3. Deal with adviser / client requests
Experience/Qualifications
1. Working with private wealth, business owners, corporate clients, trusts and group schemes (desirable)
2. 5+ years FS experience (essential)
3. Knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements (essential)
4. Senior administrator/paraplanning experience (essential)
5. Part or fully diploma qualified (essential)
