Role Overview As a Classroom Support Worker, you will work alongside teachers to provide essential support to students, ensuring they stay engaged and confident in their learning. You will assist with classroom activities, behaviour management, and personalised support for students who need extra help. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students who need additional assistance. Assist the teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons. Help students with literacy, numeracy, and other key subjects. Encourage positive behaviour and social development in the classroom. Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and learning difficulties. Create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued. Help with classroom preparation, organisation, and learning resources. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents where necessary. Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a caring, motivated, and proactive individual who is eager to support students in their education. The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in a classroom support, teaching assistant, or SEN role (desirable but not essential). A strong understanding of different learning styles and how to support them. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and staff. A patient and encouraging approach to learning support. A relevant qualification in Education, SEN, or Child Development (desirable but not essential). A passion for helping children succeed in their education. To Work with GSL Education, You Must: Have the right to work in the UK. Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years. Have an Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
