Act as Nurse Specialist in Epilepsy to promote good practice in the diagnosis, treatment and care of people with epilepsy Take the nursing lead in providing a seamless, high-quality service to people with epilepsy both in the hospital and community Provide support, advice and education to patients, families and carers Undertake research into epilepsy and continuing personal and professional development Non-medical prescriber for defined clinical need within sphere of competence Demonstrates and establishes a relationship of trust with patients, carers and families Demonstrates expertise when dealing with complex patients, who require new skills, to live with epilepsy Communicates and agrees with the patient, carer and family the determined plan of care, which can be complex and sensitive Please refer to the attached Job Description for further details.
