Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
* Plan and create innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
* Manage food production processes, including preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes.
* Collaborate with the hospitality team to ensure seamless service delivery during peak hours.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels.
* Maintain effective communication with front-of-house staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
Skills
* Proven experience in a restaurant or similar culinary environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
* In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
* Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong organisational skills with the capacity to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
