Across all Dovehaven Care Homes, we provide a full range of care for both long term and respite periods. Due to continued and significant business growth, a new position has become available to support our operational team. Duties and Responsibilities: Support the DPO in the delivery of Data Protection compliance through diligent delivery of responsibilities. Oversee the Data Protection business incident/risk register ensuring all cases are appropriately recorded, tracked, remediated or escalated in accordance with the Company process. Co-ordination of all data relating to insurance claims. Dealing with phone or email queries received on all DP matters (including potential breaches), providing practical advice and guidance, conducting research, setting out options and dealing with any follow up in accordance with statutory requirements. Undertake health checks of business areas/services to determine and confirm compliance. Ensuring that risks are identified, quantified whilst proportionate responses are implemented. Support DPO in overseeing Data Subject Right Requests in accordance with regulatory requirements including co-ordination of the search and retrieval of personal data relating to the requestor. Reviewing and redacting cases in accordance with standards and regulatory guidance. Help develop and deliver data protection training to all colleagues throughout the business. Provide professional support, advice and guidance to the business on data protection processes, controls, and best practice. Providing timely support to the identification and quantification of Data Protection Risks arising from business activities/projects or strategic initiatives including Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA), where appropriate. Assist in the development, maintenance, implementation, and improvement of the data protection framework (policy, processes, controls, and best practice). Skills and Experience: Experience in data protection, regulatory compliance, or legal roles related to data governance. -High-level problem-solving skills, capable of producing and researching written content to a professional quality -Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and communicate effectively with people at all levels, managing the differing expectations of all stakeholders -Strong experience of using IT, particularly in using Microsoft office and 365 -Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise own workload and deliver to strict deadlines -Ability to apply pragmatic solutions to complex problems -Good communication skills (both written and oral) for a wide range of audiences Good working knowledge and understanding of the data privacy environment and standards including knowledge of GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and other related regulations Ability to show a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks DHOR
