Job Purpose: To manage the budget and contractual relationships of the company's projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all projects and sub-contracts are kept in line with programme and tendered budgets.
2. Identify and weigh up all commercial risks.
3. Manage budgets and oversee payments, ensuring all projects meet the correct standards.
4. Provide weekly and monthly data to meet KPIs, monitoring and reporting on trends to inform the business.
5. Perform any other duties assigned in line with the scope and seniority of the role.
6. Understand and adhere to Company policies and procedures.
7. Comply with company Health and Safety policies, procedures, and codes of practice.
8. Demonstrate and uphold Company values.
Essential Qualifications:
1. At least 2 years of experience in contract reporting.
2. Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
3. Good negotiating and influencing skills to command professional respect at all levels.
4. Highly competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
5. Solution-focused.
6. Ability to foster strong and collaborative working relationships at all levels.
7. Ability to process information accurately, quickly, and logically.
8. Ability to introduce new ideas and drive improvements within the scope of the role.
9. Recognizes the importance of a team ethos.
10. Willingness to undertake professional development, which may entail working in your own time to achieve.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Ideally a professional qualification in a subject relevant to the role.
2. Experience in the water/utilities sector in a similar role.
3. Understanding of the current NEC 3 and NEC 4 contracts.
4. Negotiation skills and evidence-based reporting.
