An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Psychologist to work within NSFT in the east adult community service in Ipswich.
This role will include taking a lead in strengthening and developing the psychosis and bipolar treatment pathway.
We are keen to help the successful applicant develop in their areas of special interest. There will be many opportunities available, such as within complex emotional needs and eating disorders.
The successful applicant will be welcomed as part of a large and friendly team of Psychologists and Psychological Therapists, as well as becoming a key member of the Ipswich CMHT.

Main duties of the job
This is a clinical leadership role, in which you will be supported to develop your potential. You will help us to develop and evaluate a psychosis and bipolar pathway within our mental health services across East Suffolk. You will offer supervision, training and reflective practice to staff within the Ipswich CMHT. You will also devote some time to direct clinical work, including specialist psychological assessments, formulations, groups and individual therapy.
Through a visionary and dedicated approach, you will be supported to champion a culture based on principles of recovery, compassion, choice and personalised care, providing a role model for the team. You will be committed to providing evidence-based practice and will be aware of current national models, relating to mental health services.

Qualifications
Essential
* Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, or its equivalent, including eligibility for chartered status with the BPS.
* Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience
Essential
* Specialist complex psychological assessment and treatment of people with a wide range of mental health problems, of varying severity and complexity.
* Extensive experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist and evidence of specialist knowledge gained through practice and ongoing training.
* Teaching, training and delivering clinical supervision.
Knowledge
Essential
* Practitioner level knowledge of at least two models of psychological therapy.
* Providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups.
* Legislation and its implication for clinical practice and the appropriate management of people presenting with mental health problems.
