Are you tired of the same old production line or warehouse picking/packing routine?
If you’ve ever considered a change, this could be your opportunity! Imagine working in an environment where you’re not micromanaged, split your time between indoors and outdoors, and are valued as part of a family team. At this company, everyone’s on a first-name basis and pitches in to get the job done.
We’re seeking committed individuals with a positive attitude—experience is helpful but not essential. The client is happy to train candidates with little or no experience if they can demonstrate stability and commitment in previous roles.
The Role:
As a Production Operative, you’ll help run machinery for our processing plants on a small, friendly site. The role requires physical fitness, not because of heavy lifting, but due to being on the move, including frequent use of stairways.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct hourly quality testing of finished products.
* Adjust machinery settings as required, using a PLC control panel or on the machines themselves.
* Complete essential production paperwork.
* Replace consumables and minor machine parts and assist the maintenance team with larger tasks.
* Assist with lorry unloading of raw materials and loading of finished products from silos.
* Coordinate daily operations by liaising with line managers and other departments (quality lab, yard, etc.).
* Maintain hygiene and cleanliness to ensure the plant remains in good working condition.
* Operate telehandlers for moving products or conducting tasks (training provided).
What We’re Looking For:
* A proactive and committed attitude.
* Basic experience in agriculture or production (preferred but not essential).
* Physically fit and comfortable with an active role involving stairways.
* Strong communication and teamworking skills.
Benefits of the Role:
* Competitive pay with additional bonuses and allowances.
* Friendly and supportive work environment.
* Opportunities to learn new skills, including telehandler training.
* A varied role that keeps you engaged and involved.
