We are currently recruiting for a Marines Project Manager to be based in the Kent area, working with a specialist marines contractor on schemes across Kent and Sussex. This contractor deals with all aspects of marines civil engineering, and therefore you must have experience in this field.
Responsibilities:
1. Being heavily involved in the pre-construction stage of projects
2. Fully understanding design
3. Supervising all subcontract and direct labour and technical staff
4. Planning, scheduling, procuring, and delivering the project effectively, often to a tight schedule
5. Managing all health and safety
6. Liaising with the client team and consultants
7. Identifying what the client wants to achieve
8. Agreeing timescales, costs, and resources needed
9. Drawing up a detailed plan of how to achieve each stage of the project, as well as an overall plan
10. Ensuring a project team is in place and managing that team throughout the progress of the whole project
11. Ensuring that each stage of the project is progressing on time and on budget and identifying any issues that may prevent this from happening
12. Reporting regularly on the progress of the project to the client and/or to senior managers
13. Working to the contract (NEC)
Requirements:
1. Degree / HND in Civil Engineering
2. Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills
3. Attention to detail
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
5. A good understanding of budget control
6. The ability to lead a team and work well with others
7. Good IT skills
8. NEC Contract experience
Benefits:
Salary £65,000 - £70,000 (negotiable depending on experience) + package
