We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Quality Manager to join our high performing team. The Quality Manager’s key purpose is to plan, establish and correlate within the project environment a robust Quality Assurance system in support of the project team in the production, coordination, submission, validation and verification of Quality assurance deliverables. The Quality Manager will coordinate / monitor / support the project team in the production of Quality deliverables, following Project Quality Management Systems/BCAR to meet: i. statutory & organisation quality standards. ii. project programme, budgetary, and health and safety targets. The Quality Manager will ensure Quality Assurance activities applied are comprehensive, robust, in line with the QMS/BCAR requirements, and are appropriately applied to the scalability, complexity, and levels of risk across organisation activities. LOCATION: Newry HQ Base (With site visits expected to projects in Ireland Several days per week) CONTRACT TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent HOURS: Monday – Friday (8am-5pm Monday-Thursday, 8am-2.30pm Fridays) Role Responsibilities § Ensure the continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance System in line with Organisational needs, including conceptual design of system elements, review and monitoring of existing system elements and collaborating with stakeholders so as to ensure the continuous improvement of the QA System and meet individual project needs within a standardisation profile. § Support the business development team and commercial teams in providing Quality Assurance information and data in support of pre-qualification and tender submittals. § Support the business Integrated Management System (IMS) with continuous improvement and compliance in relation to Quality Assurance requirements. § Support The SHEQ Lead in providing monthly corelated data, including performance, trends and escalation mitigations for emerging risk on a monthly basis. § Proactively lead and support all areas of the Organisation in relation to Building Control (Amendment) Regulations and Home Performance Index. § Support in a timely manner the onboarding process of up-and-coming projects, providing all necessary documentary, technical and guidance to the project team. § Support the project team in information, instruction and training in relation to effective QA delivery. § Proactively assist the project team to ensure all site quality documentation is coordinated/maintained/recorded/and registered as necessary to ensure compliance with Company procedures and Contract Requirements. § Promote the reporting of non-conformances and support the project team in an effective non-conformance action process. § Provide active in field support to the project and site team to ensure quality systems are being implemented across the project, addressing emerging lapses and risk. § Take a lead role in providing quality assurance controls on-site, issuing and ensuring compliance with Inspection and Test requirements, monitoring records and closure of Non-conformance and Outstanding Works. § In conjunction with SHEQ management, carry out scheduled audits on the sites and workplaces, to establish work is being carried out in line with Company Policy, procedures, contract requirements & the needs and expectations of Interested parties. § Ensure management controls are effective, efficient and actively implemented. § Ensure visibility and traceability of documented evidence, ensuring all records are monitored and maintained. § Offer Quality guidance, direction, and instruction to the operational team to develop and improve their understanding of the Quality Management System, carrying out Quality training, Toolbox Talks and issuing Quality Bulletins and Alerts to support field teams. § Gather information and feedback from the Project Teams to enable continuous improvement. § Promote a positive Quality Culture through collaborative leadership, positive engagement and fostering an ethos of trust & inclusivity in the QA process. § Ensure the QA system is compliant with ISO 9001 Standards, BCAR, HPI and contract requirements. § Be a champion for the “Quality – Right First Time” initiative establishing individual project quality champions. § Take a proactive role in QA deliverable planning, ensuring all hold points are mapped out and communicated. § Work closely with relevant members of the Board of Directors, as well as Contracts Mangers(s) to achieve progressive assurance from tender through to the construction phase into the commissioning/ handover phases. § Work with the Commercial department in ensuring compilation of the commissioning and handover documentation in line with project and Utility Company requirements and contract requirements including proactively engaging with the supply chain. § Be a champion for innovation in future state construction process. § Develop and oversee an effective audit regime on the process and develop action plans to monitor & ensure compliance. § Support and undertake customer assessment checks during site visits with project teams. § Carry out post-project reviews and 360 learning elements, key clients, report implementation, and instigate positive outcomes. § Support the audit process to enable the project team to manage any Non-Conformance Reports received. The Candidate Qualifications & Experience: § Proven record working in a similar Quality Assurance role including BCAR. § A degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering AND a Level 7 qualification in Building Control. § A proven track record in continuous improvement design & delivery. § A proven track record in effective Quality Control design & delivery. § Strong interpersonal, organisation, communication, and time management skills with a strategic and analytical outlook. § Ability to confidently present analytical data and insights both visually and verbally at all levels. § Good cloud platform media skills with the ability to develop and update varied construction communication platforms (Autodesk, Viewpoint, Share point etc) § Good stakeholder management skills.
