There will be a requirement to supervise Health Care Assistants and student nurses on a day to day basis, in achieving objectives. The Rheumatology department provides specialist care across three sites: North Tees, Hartlepool and Peterlee. The post holder will be required to develop knowledge and skills specifically in Rheumatology but there may also be the opportunity to work as part of the team supporting other specialties e.g dermatology, women's health, lung health amongst others. This post will include taking responsibility for the daily coordination of the of Rheumatology clinics which include infusion clinics, injection clinics and other activity in the care of patients with Rheumatological conditions. The post holder will be supported through competencies in order to develop knowledge and skills that will allow them to take responsibility and accountability in providing clinical expertise, teaching and supervision of unregistered staff and students.
