What you’ll be doing We need our Procurement Managers to deliver “joined up” Procurement strategies and solutions. This means incorporating the full Procurement lifecycle (category planning, sourcing, contract and supplier relationship management) across specific categories and business areas across Nationwide. You’ll use strong stakeholder relationships and deep understanding of the designated business area to enable the development of category strategies and plan as their SME. You’ll provide insight and engage with prospective suppliers to bring innovative market knowledge. Delivering robust commercial deals for Nationwide, that meet the risk appetite and ensure we spend our customer’s money wisely. Drafting and negotiating complex contracts and ensure the maintenance and timely execution of Nationwide’s contract pipeline. About you As a minimum requirement you'll have: As this role is category specific, we are looking for individuals with procurement and category experience in Technology Procurement, specifically Infrastructure and Networks. Demonstratable experience in Procurement and supply chain management (category management, contract negotiation and management, supplier selection and management). Experience using procure to pay systems. Excellent interpersonal skills including effective communications, relationship building and stakeholder management. Possess the ability to analyse data and complex inputs to support sound business decisions. Have a good knowledge of contract law and managing risk and be able to demonstrate your ability to negotiate contracts both from a commercial and legal perspective. You are a self-starter who can demonstrate leading cross functional teams to successful outcomes and most importantly you are a strong team player. Experience within a Financial Services and/or regulated organisation. MCIPS Qualified or studying toward qualification.
