InstaStaff are currently recruiting for a Conveyancing Paralegal/ Legal Assistant to join a legal company based in Sutton Coldfield.
You will be required to provide cost-effective administrative and secretarial support to the Fee Earner and other Senior Fee Earners in the team in the work of the Conveyancing Department.
Duties of the Conveyancing Paralegal/ Legal Assistant include:
1. Undertaking certain elements of fee-earning work under supervision, in particular, file creation, generation of suitable client care correspondence, and completion of client questionnaires.
2. Dealing wherever possible with routine client enquiries and communications.
3. Passing urgent issues to another Senior Fee Earner for guidance.
4. Co-ordination of the key dates reminder system as outlined in the Office Manual.
5. Maintaining calendars and scheduling appointments.
6. Answering phone calls and directing inquiries, covering for the receptionist as and when required.
7. Filing and organizing legal documents.
8. Copying and distributing documents.
9. Maintaining client files.
10. Preparing invoices and handling billing inquiries.
Minimum Requirements:
The ideal Conveyancing Paralegal/ Legal Assistant will have:
1. 1 year experience within a similar role.
2. Effective communication, both orally and in writing, having a good command of written English demonstrating good client care skills and showing willingness to learn and progress.
3. Audio typing would be an advantage but not essential.
The salary for the Conveyancing Paralegal/ Legal Assistant will be circa £26,000.
The hours of work for the Conveyancing Paralegal/ Legal Assistant are Monday - Thursday 9.15am - 5.30pm and you will finish at 4.30pm on a Friday.
