Would suit candidates based in the Midlands or South/South East as the role is Home / Site Based; however, we will consider any location if willing to travel UK wide.
Salary: £54,000 - £58,000 depending on experience, plus car / car allowance, travel & accommodation, and a competitive package.

One of the leading engineering and construction companies in the UK, providing specialist building, civil engineering, and rail expertise to various markets. Currently looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager.
This role involves facilitating compliance with legislative, corporate, and other requirements related to health and safety, and assisting in the coordination of activities related to the implementation, development, and maintenance of the Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Seeking Candidates with:
* Relevant health & safety experience on civils/building projects, including aviation, highways, groundworks, depots, or construction of buildings.
* Ideally main contractor experience.
* NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent.
* CSCS card holder.
* Qualified internal health & safety auditor with experience in conducting internal audits.
* Minimum Grad IOSH.
* Understanding of BS OHSAS 18001:2007 requirements.
* Full driving license.
Desirable
* Lead Auditor status (beneficial but not essential).
* Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH).
Key Accountabilities
* Ensure SMS requirements are applied on site and in administrative offices through inspections, audits, and meetings.
* Monitor and facilitate compliance with SMS and BS OHSAS 18001:2007.
* Provide information, training, and advice to operational and managerial staff.
* Train and induct staff into the documented safety management systems.
* Raise health & safety awareness and responsibility throughout the business.
* Coordinate and complete internal health & safety planning meetings, inspections, and audits.
* Contribute to the review and revision of safety policies, plans, procedures, and forms.
* Produce health & safety performance information, including corporate and safety objectives.
* Promote innovation and continuous improvement.
* Support the Head of HSEQS in achieving corporate, legislative, and other requirements.
