Are you a caring individual looking to work in an outstanding rated Trust? Stanley Purser Ward, based at Swanage Community Hospital, is looking for either an experienced or new to care Health Care Assistant to join their team.
As a Health Care Assistant, you will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team. We pride ourselves on providing the best care to patients and their families. Our Elderly Rehabilitation and End of Life Care unit achieved a nationally recognised accreditation (Platinum award) in the Gold Standard Framework award for end-of-life care. If you are new to care and hold no experience in healthcare, we offer a fantastic development opportunity with a structured development plan to progress you from a band 2 to a band 3 Health Care Assistant upon successful completion.
The Healthcare Assistant post is a rotational position to work long days from 07:30 – 20:30 and night shifts from 20:00 – 08:00.
Weekend and public holidays are paid at enhanced rates!
Applications from candidates requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assisting registered nursing staff in providing high-quality individualised nursing care to a clearly defined group of patients, relatives, and carers.
2. Assisting the multi-disciplinary team to aid patients in gaining independence and mobility in preparation for a safe discharge.
3. Participating in providing a range of therapeutic activities for patients.
Staff are our top priority, and we are a learning organisation that believes in investing in our staff to help them develop personally and professionally to reach their full potential.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
