About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Techno-Functional Murex Front Office Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions and supporting the Front Office Murex functions for our clients. This position requires a strong understanding of financial markets, Front Office processes, and the technical aspects of the Murex system.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Analysis:
o Gather, analyze, and document requirements from Front Office stakeholders.
o Translate business needs into functional specifications for system configuration and custom development.
o Conduct workshops with stakeholders to validate requirements and identify potential improvements.
2. Solution Design and Configuration:
o Configure and customize the Murex platform to support Front Office workflows, pricing, and risk management.
o Collaborate with developers to design and implement bespoke solutions where necessary.
o Ensure solutions align with industry best practices and client-specific needs.
3. Performance Optimization:
o Proficiency in optimizing Murex performance for large-scale data processing and real-time trade execution.
o Experience in troubleshooting performance issues and implementing best practices for efficient system operation.
4. Technical Expertise:
o Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Front Office operations.
o Understand and manage Murex's key modules, including Pricing, Market Data, Simulation, and Risk.
o Work with databases, scripting, and APIs for integration and data management tasks.
5. Stakeholder Management:
o Act as the primary point of contact between the Front Office and IT teams.
o Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring smooth adoption of system changes.
o Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular updates.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Technical Proficiency:
o Strong experience with the Murex platform, particularly in Front Office modules.
o Must have in-depth experience in Murex Front Office configuration.
o Knowledge of Pre-Trade rules, Pricing, closing and booking sequences, Dynamic layouts and Look-up tables.
o Experience with E-pad booking, FDI Templates, pricing patterns, and dealing formats.
o Proficiency in Trade lifecycle management and EOD, EOM, EOY processes.
o Access rights, STP rights, OSP management, Dynamic Tables, and Reporting.
o Proficiency in key Murex areas including static data setup, curves, structuring, simulations, live book, RBPL, e-trade pad configuration, pre-trade development, and P&L attribution, reporting, Market risk configuration.
o Expertise in simulation/live book views, functional requirement gathering, and functional support for Front Office and Middle Office end-users.
o Proficiency in SQL, Unix, and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Shell).
2. Domain Expertise:
o In-depth understanding of financial markets, trading workflows, and financial instruments.
o Familiarity with market data providers and pricing methodologies.
3. Business Analysis Skills:
o Proven ability to elicit, document, and validate business requirements.
o Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
4. Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
