Job Title: Learning Mentor Location: Winsford, Cheshire Pay: £88.92 - £100.53 per day (dependent on payroll choice) Start Date: September 2025 We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Mentor to join our exceptional special school team. We support students aged 11-17 with moderate learning difficulties and additional complex needs, including speech, language, communication challenges, and behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties. As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to a specific student, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential in a supportive and encouraging environment. Role and Responsibilities: As a Learning Mentor, your key duties will include: Providing mentorship and guidance to students, helping them build confidence and improve their learning outcomes. Offering individualized support to students both inside and outside the classroom. Supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social challenges, helping them to manage their emotions and stay focused on their goals. Collaborating with teaching staff to implement effective strategies for academic and social progress. Encouraging a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. What We Are Looking For: Previous experience in a similar role or working with students with SEND or additional needs is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to student support. A commitment to providing high-quality support to students, particularly in overcoming social, emotional, and academic barriers.
