We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work predominantly one-to-one with students experiencing social, emotional, and mental health needs. Responsibilities:
1. Provide individualised support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, building trust and ensuring they feel supported.
2. Assist in developing and implementing personalized learning plans under the guidance of teaching staff and SEN coordinators.
3. Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment for students who have struggled with traditional education settings.
4. Offer encouragement and behavioural support, reinforcing positive behaviour and resilience in challenging situations.
5. Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to provide holistic support to each student.
Requirements:
1. Previous in-school experience with any age group, ideally working with students who have SEN or behavioural needs.
2. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach, with the ability to build strong relationships with students.
3. Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit to work effectively within a supportive team.
4. Flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to making a positive impact in students' lives.
