The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join the University of Portsmouth finance team and provide excellent financial leadership to the Professional Services leaders.
The Finance Business Partner will work in partnership with leaders, key stakeholders, and Finance colleagues to shape, develop and deliver financially sustainable professional services plans and solutions in line with the priorities of the University. Operating as a financial expert, the role will advise, guide and support managers and staff by providing added value financial analysis and insights including forecasting and a rolling 3-5 year financial plan.
The role will oversee all financial activities within a professional service including month/year end activities (revenue and capital). The role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial transactions, the provision of accurate and timely management information that is action orientated, the application of financial regulations and policies, and managing the relationships between the Finance department and the business units. The role is responsible for constructively challenging budget holders to ensure delivery of savings and/or contribution targets.
