We are seeking an appropriately experienced professional to join our Education Welfare Service. Visionary Individual Pathways works in close partnership with schools and other statutory and voluntary agencies, in order to promote the welfare and regular school attendance of all children and young people in Educational Settings. As an Education Welfare Officer, you will need to work closely with colleagues in schools, all agencies, pupils, and their families to identify problems, personal and/or social issues that may affect the attendance, progress, and well- being of children and young people. The successful candidate will need to have professional experience of working with children and young people in a multi-agency environment. Additionally, you will have good interpersonal skills including a good standard of written communication and competent IT skills. Proven experience in raising levels of school attendance, and current, up to date knowledge of both national and local attendance issues is desirable. A full clean driving licence and access to a car is essential for the post.
