We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to play a key part in the delivery of a comprehensive HR service across our businesses within the South East region. Main Responsibilities This is a busy and varied HR Manager role. Typical responsibilities include: Deliver comprehensive HR service to a designated part of our business with c.300-600 employees depending on specific role Provide a high level and commercially focussed HR service to senior management teams within the business area Represent the HR function within management teams across the business units to ensure national, BU and local priorities and strategies are achieved Implement, monitor and adhere to HR policies, initiatives and projects within timescales to support the delivery of the Group objectives. Talent attraction and development including succession planning for responsible area in partnership with national Talent / L&D teams Ensure high levels of employee engagement and a positive employee relations culture by being visible physically and remotely with all teams within your scope Through local knowledge of teams and individuals ensure a performance management culture exists and that coaching and development of teams is high on the agenda. Identify and develop Graduates, Higher Apprentices & Apprentices for the region. Collaboration with the national HR Team working on cross functional projects and contributing to HR best practice Provide high calibre and professional HR advice to all managers and employees in the business Drive an inclusive and diverse workforce within your scope of responsibility. Manage local/national wage negotiations. Use available metrics and trends to lead positive and innovative change across a wide range of HR area The Ideal Candidate To be considered for the HR Manager opportunity, you will have proven experience of delivering a comprehensive HR service to a regionally based workforce in a fast paced environment, as well as being able to communicate and interact at mid to senior levels, challenging or supporting as appropriate. CIPD qualified or equivalent experience Comprehensive understanding of HR principles and practices, coupled with relevant business experience and professional development. Confidentiality and strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and develop strong relationships internally and externally. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High integrity and ability to challenge (stands up for what is right) Impact and influence (able to get acceptance of ideas through indirect influence) Ability to assess, measure and identify key talent and ensure this fits to key organisational drivers Ability to build trust with employees and management.
