Job Description
The candidate will have knowledge and understanding of the support needs of people with Disabilities including Learning Disability and Physical Disability.
You will have experience of working in a care setting providing support for Service Users. Previous experience should include multi-disciplinary working, assessment of care/support needs and preparation of appropriate support plans and risk assessments. Candidates will be knowledgeable and experienced Key Workers with experience of planning, chairing and recording service user reviews. Candidates will have training and experience in moving and handling techniques and providing personal support for Service Users. Candidates will have previous experience of enabling Service Users to achieve their individual outcomes and working in a team to provide appropriate activities both within the care setting and in the local community.
You should be of sufficient flexibility to undertake a wide variety of specialist tasks and be prepared to learn and develop skills beyond those which he or she brings initially to the job.
Desirable qualification for this post is SVQ Level 3 in Social Care.
Currently this post does not require registration with the SSSC however we anticipate this may change in the future and when required the successful candidate will be expected to register with the SSSC.
You will work 18.5 hours per week.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
