Our vibrant service in Argyll and Bute provides support to people concerned about their own or someone else's drug or alcohol use. All our work is carried out in the communities we serve.
We are looking for a resilient and committed individual who has an understanding of the problems faced by individuals finding themselves homeless or in insecure accommodation and who enjoys a challenge. Experience of substance misuse would be beneficial though we will provide training.
Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, and with a positive and engaging approach to our service users and staff.
This is a fixed-term position until December 2024. A full UK driving license is required.

Required Skills
1. have attained SVQ level 3 in Social Services & Healthcare or equivalent, or willing to work towards this qualification
2. already be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or willing to meet the registration requirements
3. have an understanding of the issues and challenges people with substance misuse experience
4. have some experience of working in a health, social care or related setting
5. work effectively as a team player and on your own
6. build effective relationships with a range of internal and external Stakeholders, particularly housing providers
7. Full UK Driving Licence and own transport
