Wigram Primary follows the Manaiakalani Learn, Create, Share philosophy. Our school is a PB4L school and we work within the Uru Manuka Kahui Ako. Digital technology and e-learning are integrated into learning, and our school curriculum is based around our local environment where possible. Our junior school has a learning through play focus, structured literacy development, and Numicon. Our school values system, HEART, is reflected strongly across the school.
Our senior school uses Chromebooks in a 1:1 setting and is involved in furthering their Structured Literacy practice.
Our students come from a broad range of nationalities, with many from migrant families. 75% of our students/families have English as a second language.
Wigram Primary has a strong inclusive practice pedagogy.
