Forsyth Barnes are delighted to have partnered with a leading sports team once again to assist with their growth. We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Operations Manager, with a proven track record delivering digital communications, to join the team.
As an established digital native, you will have the skills to help implement the team's communications strategy across digital channels, responsible for ensuring consistency across all output.
Reporting to the Head of Communications, this role will work closely with the Senior Digital Editor, Senior Social Media Manager, and Creative Lead. Your role will see you collaborate with these colleagues to create and manage the implementation of the team's communications strategy on digital platforms. Your specific responsibilities will be to ensure consistency and alignment of output across all digital channels, support and manage content creation and delivery, lead their digital agency support, manage the digital budget, and lead analytics across all digital touchpoints.
The Digital Operations Manager will also be responsible for overseeing several direct reports and help play a role in developing and upskilling wider members of the digital team.
About the role
1. Working with the digital team's senior leaders, deliver and manage the implementation of the team's communications strategy across digital platforms.
2. Manage and co-ordinate the output across all digital channels, ensure consistency of delivery, alignment across digital channels, and deliver against the team's brand values.
3. Lead and enhance content planning for editorial and branded content across team owned digital platforms.
4. Work closely with the team's external content agencies and content creators to achieve this alignment and best-in-class standard.
5. Empower the Senior Digital Editor and the Senior Social Media Manager, along with the Creative Lead, to develop and create class-leading content for our digital channels that aligns to the team's communications strategy and values.
6. Create and manage the digital team's budget to ensure delivery against the team's communications strategy and digital implementation plan.
7. Work closely with the Senior Social Media Manager to develop and manage the team's paid social media strategy.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in digital communications in a comparable role, demonstrating a deep understanding of digital platforms and strategies. You will have a proven track record of managing the implementation of successful digital projects and a strong background in management with the capability to lead and develop teams effectively. An innovative individual, continuously looking forward to new trends and technologies in the digital landscape. Have the ability to demonstrate strong influencing and collaboration skills, with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
