We are currently recruiting for 2 X Category Managers with public sector experience for a great project for 18+ months that is ran by a Central Government Authority. The best thing about this opportunity is that you will have a great work-life balance with remote working, thus you will be able to organise your time up to your liking (1-2 days/ week in Reading).
About the role:
1. Develop and implement Category Strategy for specific categories, balancing short & long-term objectives to meet business strategy and cost savings.
2. Support and execute strategic sourcing activities in line with category strategy and suppliers list, including the supplier evaluation and selection, contract negotiation, business award and contract handover to the business.

Essential experience:
1. Experience working in SC Cleared environment.
2. 5+ years' experience as a Category Manager.
3. Good understanding of Category Methodologies.
4. Contract Management.
5. Supplier negotiations - cost and contract.
6. Monitor and Mitigate supplier risk.
