The Role
This newly created role reports to the PTP Manager supporting them with the day-to-day running of the team overseeing 3 direct reports. You will be a key “go to” member of the team with strong Accounts Payable knowledge and people management skills. This is a hands-on role and is key to the delivery of the smooth transactional payments and management of our valued suppliers across all markets.
This role will suit someone who has a strong background in PTP (Accounts Payable) and is seeking to build on their proven experience. A key influencer and “go getter” across the business ensuring compliance and KPI’s are delivered with a can-do positive mindset. Thrives in making a positive change and driving efficiencies collaboratively across the business.
Responsibilities
* Overseeing the efficient and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions
* Management of Age Creditors, GRNI, Supplier Statements and Mailbox’s are controlled within agreed KPI’s
* Month end tasks including journals, reconciliation
* Oversee weekly payment run checks and approvals across all markets
* Build and maintain Supplier, Team and Stakeholder relationships to the highest level with a friendly supportive, disciplined approach
* Supporting with ongoing improvement of processes and procedures, providing ideas and insight from an AP perspective
* Invoice processing
* Payment practices reporting and other stat reporting
* Investigate and resolve team, supplier and finance-related issues
* Manage Concur expenses process from beginning to end
* Management of Credit card process
* Ensure the completion and control of bank postings
* Processing, control and completion of high-profile payments
* Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure accuracy of onboarding of suppliers and supplier management.
* Support with Audit requests
* Manage PO compliance and enhancement
* Other accounts payable tasks as directed by the PTP Manager
Skills and Experience
* Experience in a purchase ledger accounting role, with previous management experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Oracle NetSuite would be an advantage
* Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
* Compliance based mindset, with best practice and rule focused
* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
* Ability to meet deadlines and manage tasks
* Good communication skills for teamwork
* Flexible and proactive in problem-solving and solution oriented
* Team player with kind warm approach
* Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
