1:1 with SEN KS1 students

A local Gloucestershire Primary School based in Abbeymead is opening its doors for a Learning Support Assistant. Start date will be September 2024, during the first term of the new academic year.
Responsibilities of the Learning Support Assistant:
* 1:1 with the KS1 students, there is a select group of students joining the school that requires additional needs to enable them to access mainstream KS1 education.
* Be aware of the SEN of the Abbeymead students, this will include: ADHD, ASD, Autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia and behavioural issues.
* Provide solutions to any learning blocks to the SEN students, this may include emotion boards, audio or visual aids. The Abbeymead Primary School encourages creativity to support the pupils!
* Demonstrate a passion for learning to the Primary KS1 students, it all starts with a positive attitude. This mentality of the Primary schools staff, has led to an ‘Ofsted’ rated ‘Outstanding’
Daily pay - £83.33 - £90

Learning Support Assistant qualifications:
* Excellent understanding of the KS1/KS2 curriculum, the Learning Support Assistant will be supporting with literacy, numeracy and phonics.
* GCSE standard or equivalent of English, Maths and Science. (Grade C and above/ 4 or above).
* Degree 2:1 minimum (preferred, not essential).
