The Company General Ledger Accountant - Hybrid Working - Study supportNigel Wright are delighted to be supporting a global consumer business in recruiting a General Ledger Accountant to joint heir team. This is a fantastic role for an Accountant who is looking to gain exposure within a global business and develop their career. Study support will be provided to the successful candidate. The Role The duties of the General Ledger Accountant will include: Completing all allocated month-end processes in line with agreed deadlines. Assisting with maintenance of fixed asset registers, lease reporting, VAT and tax reporting and any other related financial reporting activities. Analysing financial data and producing a variety of financial reports Performing timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis. Supporting with all year-end close activities and statutory accounting work. Assisting with any internal and external audit requirements Preparing annual tax pack information. Identifying and implementing process improvements across all activities. Continually reviewing processes to maximise efficiencies. The Person The requirements for the General Ledger Accountant role are: Currently studying towards or fully qualified in professional accounting exams (ACCA or CIMA) and/or able to demonstrate Qualified by Experience (QBE). Previous experience in a similar role. Strong Excel skills. Experience of using SAP advantageous. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate appropriately with different stakeholders and build strong working relationships. The ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and flexible approach to work.
