We are looking for dynamic, innovative and highly motivated physiotherapists with experience in a broad range of areas, to include Acute Hospital settings, ideally the NHS. You could already be a Band 6 wishing for a change or are you currently an experienced Band 5 looking to progress your career. Main duties, tasks & skills required
With training and development, you will provide Physiotherapeutic assessment, management and rehabilitation of patients in a variety of clinical areas. You will work in a team that consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Therapy Support Workers.
Your responsibilities will be varied and challenging in this busy environment, however, whilst maintaining a caring and effective approach. You will take responsibility for your own caseload, working without direct daily supervision, nonetheless, access to advice and support from senior staff is always available. You will have formal supervision along with annual appraisals to ensure that your unique development is at the heart of this role. Coupled with regular formal and informal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer reviews, and case conferences.
The role requires the successful candidate to undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner and maintain associated records. Coupled with participation in our 7-day working programme and our excellent respiratory on-call service; that includes respiratory, ITU plus one of the largest Non-Invasive Ventilation services in the country; once trained and deemed competent.
Qualifications
Essential
* Diploma / degree in physiotherapy.
* Current registration with Health Care Professions Council.
* A levels or equivalent qualification.
* Good standard of general education including GCSE maths and English grade C and above.
* Evidence of CPD including recent post graduate training relevant to clinical specialty.
Desirable
* Evidence of leadership training.
*Attendance at Clinical Educators Course.*
Experience
Essential
* Demonstrates comprehensive clinical experience enabling the post holder to manage a caseload of patients with complex needs in this specialty.
* Significant experience of working in an acute hospital setting including acute hospital experience in a broad variety of clinical areas.
* Experience of team/service development.
* Experience of working on a respiratory physiotherapy on-call service, to include non-invasive ventilation knowledge.
* Experience of supporting and supervision of junior therapists, student physiotherapists and assistants.
* A specialist knowledge across a range of therapy practices, routine and non-routine, requiring expertise within the field of therapy.
* Good understanding of working in an Acute Hospital Trust.
* Understanding of current legislation and application to Physiotherapy.
