About the Role:
They are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior/Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the fault finding, repair, installation and commissioning/testing of refrigeration systems in both military and commercial settings. You will ensure that all systems are fully operational, efficient, and compliant with industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
1. This role is split between site-based and our Fareham workshops.
2. The role will include the setup, testing, checking and fault finding of new and existing refrigeration plant and systems.
3. Commission refrigeration systems to ensure full functionality and compliance with design specifications.
4. Perform thorough testing and troubleshooting of refrigeration equipment, identifying and rectifying any issues.
5. Work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project completion.
6. Provide technical support and guidance during the installation and commissioning phases.
7. Complete service reports and documentation related to commissioning activities.
8. Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
9. Participate in the handover process to clients, including conducting training on system operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Proven experience as a Senior/Commissioning engineer on refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial environments.
2. Relevant qualifications in refrigeration engineering (Apprenticeship trained, FGAS CAT 1, etc).
3. Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, controls/PLC, and electrical circuits.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
7. Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas.
