Job Title: Care Team Leader
Join our dedicated team at our small residential care home, registered for dementia and mental health clients. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Care Team Leader or an experienced Senior Care Assistant to oversee the care delivery and support our small team of carers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and lead a small team of carers, ensuring high standards of care are provided to all residents with dementia and mental health needs.
* Oversee the medication cycle, including ordering, receiving, carrying forward, and auditing medication for residents.
* Develop and maintain individual care plans, ensuring they are written and updated accurately, reflecting residents' needs and preferences.
* Conduct risk assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents, documenting findings in good written English.
* Foster a friendly and proactive attitude within the team, promoting a positive environment for residents and staff alike.
* Ensure compliance with care regulations, policies, and procedures, creating a safe and nurturing atmosphere.
* Participate in full annual care training, including SOVA, Health & Safety, and Infection Control.
* Pursue opportunities for ongoing training and development, including NVQ qualifications.
What We're Looking For:
* Prior experience working as a Team Leader in a residential care home setting, specifically in managing and leading a team of carers.
* Proven skills in the medication cycle and understanding of care planning and risk assessments.
* Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively.
* A friendly, proactive approach, demonstrating compassion and commitment to high-quality care.
* Flexibility to work fully flexible shifts, including days and nights as required.
