Travelling the Fairways is seeking an experienced and highly motivated golf travel specialist to join our team based in St Andrews, Scotland. We are a well-established golf tour operator offering high-end bespoke golf packages and a personalised service to our clients.
Role Overview:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning bespoke golf trips to Ireland, Scotland, England, Spain, and Portugal tailored to our clients' needs. Acting as the first point of contact for golfers, you will coordinate with golf courses, hotels, and transport providers to create seamless, customised itineraries. Your expertise will be essential in building and nurturing a portfolio of clients, ensuring exceptional customer service remains at the core of every interaction.
Responsibilities:
* Manage existing bookings, handling amendments and ensuring smooth communication with clients.
* Collaborate with overseas representatives to plan and execute bespoke trips for clients.
* Provide exceptional after-sales service, organising additional requests and answering booking inquiries.
* Communicate with clients through various channels, including inbound and outbound calls and managing emails.
* Manage booking administration tasks such as collecting client payments, confirming bookings, gathering travel information, and creating rooming lists.
* Assist directors with incoming enquiries and provide referrals.
* Meet and greet clients at arrival airport or at golf course/hotel during their trip.
* Represent the company at industry events to build and strengthen relationships with golf courses, hotels, and transport providers to enhance our service offerings.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has proven experience in travel coordination, hospitality, or the golf industry.
* Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Has a meticulous eye for detail and ensures accuracy in all tasks.
* Is computer literate with product knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Can multi-task with involvement in multiple projects at the same time.
* Demonstrates a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
* Thrives in a fast-paced environment and goes above and beyond for clients.
* Enjoys working as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
* Experience or education in hospitality or golf sector would be of benefit.
* Has a passion for golf, although it is not a mandatory requirement.
* Holds a full, clean UK driver’s licence.
Salary Package:
* A highly competitive salary dependent on experience.
* Full-time position Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (Weekend work and extra hours will be required especially during the busy golfing season).
