Develop and implement a clear vision and curriculum for History, aligned with the school's overall goals and the National Curriculum. Lead a team of dedicated History teachers, fostering collaboration, professional development, and a culture of high expectations. Monitor and track student progress, identifying and supporting those who need extra help. Oversee the quality of teaching, learning, and assessment within the History department. Contribute to the wider leadership team of the school. Represent the History department at school events and within the wider educational community. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified History Teacher with a minimum of 5 years' successful teaching experience, including significant leadership experience within a secondary school setting. A proven track record of raising standards and improving student outcomes in History. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring the next generation of historians. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and empower colleagues. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. The ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
