The post is up to 3 days (22.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday) and is to provide clinical backfill for current staff who are involved in a short term project (from November 24 to March 25). In this role you will be required to: This post will involve working within our well-established CYPIT service, providing support for children attending mainstream schools in Reading and Wokingham. We are seeking staff, who are passionate about working with children and young people and keen to further develop their clinical skills. Working knowledge of the assessment process for EHCPs would be helpful but is not essential. In this role as a Band 5 or 6 Children’s Speech and Language Therapist, you will take responsibility of the planning and management of your own caseload and interventions, with the support of our clinical and operational leads as required. You will work autonomously to carry out clinical assessments within your scope of practice, including identifying relevant therapy needs and delivering an individualised management plan. You will be working collaboratively with education staff to meet the needs of children attending Reading/Wokingham mainstream schools. This role may also involve the delivery of training to education staff or parents. What you’ll need: · Qualified Speech and Language Therapist, registered with HCPC · Car driver with ability and readiness to travel to multiple sites · Needs to have experience of working in Paediatrics · Experience of working in early years settings/mainstream and/or special schools to carry out assessment of Speech, language and communication needs.
