Priority Candidates will be considered in the first instance
37 hours per week
Your role:
You will ensure the delivery of high quality and effective administrative services including taking minutes for safeguarding and other meetings as required. Also supporting operational colleagues achieve their goal of delivering exceptional services to adults, families, and carers. You will provide a high standard of customer care and will work to strict deadlines to ensure that all work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
There will be an expectation to cover other bases within the Council.
About you:
You will have a level 2 NVQ qualification in Administration or the ability to demonstrate a similar level of knowledge, skills and experience.
You will have excellent communication, decision making and customer care skills. You’ll be a great team player but with an aptitude to work on your own when required. You must be flexible in your approach to work to support a range of projects across the service. You will be friendly and courteous when dealing with both members of the public, service users and other professionals. You will also show a good level of understanding in using a range of Office IT packages.

The Business Support Services Team provides administrative support to professional front line practitioners, working with the most vulnerable people in the borough. We have a strong commitment to improving the lives of Wigan residents and are currently undertaking an exciting transformation of Adult Social Care and Health which will improve outcomes and experiences for our residents.
