Recruitment Consultant – Full time - £30,375 - £33,179 per annum
Independent Training Services are going from strength to strength and as part of our ambitious expansion we are looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our busy Adult Skills team.
In this rewarding role, you will support local businesses, offering a free recruitment service, whilst providing an outstanding employment support service to our learners.
This is an end-to-end role, ensuring our learners are enrolled onto suitable courses (with guaranteed job interviews) and then supporting those who are unsuccessful at the end of the course to achieve sustainable employment elsewhere.
No two days will be the same, with travel in and around South Yorkshire. You will be the face of the company promoting Sector Based Work Academy Programmes to South Yorkshire businesses and managing a caseload of learners, helping them to progress into employment. This may be achieved through meeting learners face to face (conducting 1-2-1 sessions), conducting group sessions, arranging job clubs or organising coffee mornings etc.
This role requires someone who is extremely well organised and can manage a caseload of learners, supporting a cohort of people with specific and individual barriers to work.
The role requires someone who is tenacious, target/ outcome driven and enthusiastic in pursuit of new job opportunities. You should feel as comfortable in the classroom as you do the boardroom, meeting with local employers and matching vacancies to our learners.
You will work closely with the Business Development team, sharing employer details and engaging employers to participate in future Sector-based Work Academy Programmes, whilst discussing the other training services available within the organisation (apprenticeships etc).
Working with the unemployed, within the community, can be challenging, but the rewards make the effort worthwhile; we really do change lives.
