Overview
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Contract Performance Manager to join our dynamic commercial team. You will play a key role in driving supplier performance and contract excellence across the organisation. Depending on your skillset, you will help deliver four core outcomes that will shape how we manage contracts and supplier relationships going forward.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong quality management, risk management, and supplier collaboration experience to have a tangible impact on performance standards within a large, complex organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. KPI Handbook: Refine our standard Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Handbook for future contracts. This includes defining KPIs, working with the business to ensure accurate data collection and analysis, and using best practices to identify root causes and implement effective performance improvements.
2. Contract Reporting: Enable effective reporting of supplier performance at contract, supplier, category, project, and portfolio levels, ensuring data is consistently clear and actionable.
3. Commercial Alignment: Ensure KPIs are aligned with the proposed commercial models of contracts, linking performance measures to commercial outcomes.
4. Supplier Performance Management Training: Co-develop and deliver technical and behavioural training for Commercial and Project Teams to optimise supplier performance, using objective data and fostering a collaborative approach to supplier management.
5. Risk Management Process: Collaborate with the Commercial Risk Manager to implement a consistent and effective risk management methodology across all commercial operations.
6. Performance Rectification: Work with contract managers to address underperforming contracts and suppliers, leading the development of effective "back to green" plans to resolve issues and restore performance.
What We're Looking For:
7. Quality Management Experience: Proven experience as a quality or performance manager in either a front-line or commercial team.
8. NEC Contract Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge and experience in managing NEC contracts (or equivalent frameworks).
9. Risk Management Expertise: Demonstrated success in identifying, analysing, and mitigating risks using root cause analysis and proportionate mitigations.
10. Strategic Supplier Management: A highly collaborative approach to managing strategic supplier relationships, with evidence of driving performance improvements through partnership and shared goals.
