Job Purpose
To assign preferred carrier routing option to all new transport quotes, and providing pricing support to customers, following up where necessary. Ensuring orders are correctly routed and maximising supplier/carrier availability options. Supporting the Commercial Manager/Team Leader in all aspects of their role and providing cover when necessary.
General Responsibilities
1. Timely allocation of preferred carrier to transport orders
2. Handling of the pricing inquiries via Salesforce.com
3. Maintenance of trade lane specific rate cards in QRS system
4. Assisting with procurement function and tender management
5. Supply key account and inside sales team with costs/pricing
6. Continuous improvement of routing proposals and processes
7. Assisting solution design team with trade lane analysis
8. Ensure a ‘best in class’ service is offered at all times
9. Monitor service level agreements and implement any corrective action required
10. Effectively communicate with the Sales Team and Customers
11. Interact with Global Procurement Team
12. Proactively support team/departmental/company change projects
