Role: Shift Engineer

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 6.00am - 2:30pm or 2:30pm - 11:00pm.

About the Role
As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering repair, corrective and planned preventative maintenance across the site working as part of the engineering team.
Key Duties
1. Manage your own workload and ensure that work is completed to the standard required and any work outstanding is continued by the following shift.
2. Complete the work that comes from Audits, Work Requests and PPM follow ups.
3. Ensure you apply Health and Safety and Food Safety standards to all work undertaken.
4. Support all staff within your team and ensure targets/kpi's are achieved.
5. Manage Health and Safety of external contractors on site when required and ensure those areas are clean and tidy upon completion.
6. Ensure all machinery/equipment meets site standards and all sub conditions are dealt with or escalated accordingly.
7. Control and manage the ordering and quantity of engineering spares to ensure effective stock levels.
8. Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across all engineering areas.
9. Communicate effectively across all levels of management and all departments in relation to any engineering activities and breakdowns.
About You
1. Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in either Electrical Engineering or Maintenance Activities or equivalent qualification
2. An experienced Engineer with a minimum of 5 years' experience within a similar role.
3. Have a solid understanding of operation/function and repair of all machinery on site and plant and associated equipment.
4. Excellent Organisational skills
5. Good problem-solving abilities
