Job Description To work as part of the Administration Team in supporting the front line Housing Needs Team. Requirements Provide clerical support to the Housing Needs Teams. Process Housing Applications in accordance with set standards and agreed targets. Process Homeless Applications in accordance with set standards and agreed targets. Responsibilities n/a The Individual Experience of working in a busy office environment using relevant technology and equipment e.g. photocopier, E-mail, Intra/Internet. Clerical/administration/typing experience. Experience of utilising a range of computer packages including Microsoft Office, Excel and Access. 4 SQA standard grades or equivalent at Level 3 or above including English Recognised word processing qualification. Ability to use initiative when required. A flexible approach to work and an ability to work under pressure. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to record information accurately. Self-confident and self-motivated. Effective customer care skills and focus. Ability to work on own and as part of a team. An ability to meet set standards and agreed targets. Proficiency in a wide range of clerical and administrative tasks. Effective organisational skills/time management with the ability to respond to conflicting and competing priorities. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to relate well with all levels of staff. Effective team working skills. Willingness to accept direction/delegation. Appreciation, acceptance of and commitment to importance of confidentiality. Approachable, tactful and helpful manner. Ability to work in an open plan office environment. Ability to work in different offices dependent on service requirements.
