We are currently working with a well-established engineering company in Cannock, who are growing their headcount and are now looking to recruit an Estimator to join their Sales team.
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, The Estimator will be delegated workload and responsibilities. They will engage with customers to build and retain relationships, occasionally negotiate on costs, close sales, and handle customer queries and complaints when required. Take customer drawings and requirements and create quotations based off knowledge and business resources available. Understand the processes and new technologies to be able to quote against these areas and help the business be competitive within the market. Follow company procedures on the sales process to achieve the desired results and work closely with the Sales Manager to increase business revenue and opportunities.
The main duties of the Estimator will include, but not be limited to:
◾ Interpret customer drawings and requirements
◾ Use company software and systems to collate quotations and packages
◾ Work with suppliers for material and sub-contract costs.
◾ Organise / prioritise workload
◾ Collate daily/weekly/monthly KPI data
◾ Work on RFQ projects through various documents and systems required.
◾ Hold commercial reviews on package projects with the sales manager.
◾ Implement sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
◾ Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors.
◾ Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
◾ Occasionally visit customers to create lasting relationships and continued opportunities.
◾ Maintain and drive the company strategy throughout the business.
◾ Ensure HSE compliance and safe systems of working are adhered to.
◾ To aid in continuous improvement activities within the facility.
◾ To perform other duties as required.

In return, the Estimator can expect to receive a competitive salary, dependent on experience, to work a 37.5hour week, with an early finish on Fridays, work in a friendly working environment, on a straight day shift, flexible holiday entitlement, free onsite parking.
