Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit a passionate and experienced SEND Lead Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in the Plymouth area. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to take on a leadership role within a supportive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of teaching and support staff
* Oversee teaching and learning within the provision on a daily basis
* Support and develop staff to maintain high standards of practice
* Complete EHCP reports and liaise with external agencies
* Work closely with parents, carers, and the wider school community
* Ensure a nurturing, inclusive, and safeguarding-focused environment
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will:
* Have experience teaching children with SEND
* Be a strong and compassionate leader with excellent team management skills
* Be highly organised, proactive, and committed to improving outcomes for students
* Have excellent communication skills and the ability to form positive relationships with families and professionals
* Be confident in managing EHCP processes and ensuring the best support for students
